The yellow Unikko fabric design, created by Maija Isola in 1964, has playful bright yellow and neon green poppies against a white background. Maija Isola created her Unikko design in protest against the announcement that no floral fabrics are designed at Marimekko. Much to their chagrin, Isola's Unikko is Marimekko's most recognizable and popular design today.
