The White Whooper Swan, by Oiva Toikka, is a very refined and elegant design. Its long neck and soft, clean lines represent a challenging shape for the master glassblowers at iittala. The full white plumage of this Toikka Bird depicts that of and adult swan. White Whooper Swan is one of the largest in the entire series of Oiva Toikka Birds making it a centerpiece of any Toikka collection.
The White Whooper Swan joins dozens of other collectible glass birds produced by a handful of skilled glassblowers in the small Finnish town of Nuutajärvi. Oiva Toikka has worked with these glassblowers for over 30 years to produce the little gems we call Toikka birds. Each bird is mouth blown and hand formed, without moulds. So no two birds are exactly alike. Each is a little Finnish masterpiece available to collectors worldwide.
