Kaj Franck designed Teema for iittala in 1952, and since its inception has expanded to include several revolutionary colors and shapes. The secret to Teema’s success is in its simplicity: Kaj Franck reduced all that was excessive until only the essential remained.
Teema is designed to be combined and is highly versatile; the intent was to create a practical and functional design that meant fewer items were needed to complete a set. Teema’s simple lines fit the entire range of iittala dinnerware and glassware, most notably paired up with iittala Origo.
