The Spotted Towhee was created by Oiva Toikka in partnership with the Audubon Society in Washington. The Spotted Towhee is the symbol of the local Tahoma Audubon Society and is a beloved backyard bird of the Northwest United States. Released in a limited edition of only 1500, the Spotted Towhee is a must-have for lovers of nature and glass blown art.

Oiva Toikka's Spotted Towhee is an opaque bird with a subtle dark-amber glow on its sides and underbelly that illuminate in directional lighting. Toikka's Spotted Towhee is a proud bird with a white chest and belly; white, wavy striped wings; and a shiny metallic beak that is set back on its head.

Measures: 3-1/2" x 6-1/4" (9 x 16 cm)

The limited-edition Audubon Society 2006 Spotted Towhee is a mouth-blown work of art that is handcrafted at iittala’s glassworks in Nuutajärvi, Finland.

On the bottom of the bird is hand-etched the name of the artist, Oiva Toikka, and of his studio in Nuutajärvi, Finland. Your bird is uniquely numbered by edition xxx/1500.
