The iittala Sarpaneva cast iron pot designed by Timo Sarpaneva in 1960 is back in production courtesy of iittala. Combining form and function, the Sarpaneva pot is a true icon. An innovative part of this black, white enamel-lined pot is its ingenious detachable wooden handle.
This unique feature makes it easy to remove from the oven, carry to the table, and lift the lid. Awarded the silver medal at the 1960 Milan Triennial as well as the International Design Award in the United States, the "Finnish Design Classic!" label can be found on each Sarpaneva pot.
