Oiva Toikka creates mouth-blown glass birds with brilliant colors, and his New York Bluebird is exemplary of his craft. The New York Bluebird has a bright, orange chest which scatters into white at the bottom, and its wings are a subtle, mottled blue on an opaque body. The Bluebird has a rich blue hue just below its wings.
The New York Bluebird's head is slanted to one side in curious wonderment. A beautiful bird with a strong personality.
Measures: 3-1/2" x 6-1/4" (9 x 16 cm)
On the bottom of the bird is hand-etched the name of the artist, Oiva Toikka, and of his studio in Nuutajärvi, Finland. Your bird is uniquely numbered by edition xxx/1250.
