Are they numbered?
Most Toikka birds are not numbered, but there are some exceptions. Recent releases which ARE numbered on the base include: Barnacle Goose, Flycatchers, Fallingwater Red, Pacific Waterfowl, Kiwis (hard to read, but it's there), and annual eggs.
The annual bird and annual egg have the year of production etched on their base.
Are they signed?
Most Toikka birds have the artist's name and city of origin acid-stamped on the base: O Toikka Nuutajärvi.
There are a few birds with the artist's name hand-etched on the bird: Barnacle Goose, Kiwis (but hard to see), Flycatchers, Fallingwater Red, Karelian Golden Cuckoo, Annual Eggs.
Why can't I see the signature on my bird?
Both the acid-stamped and hand-etched names are very hard to read when the base of the bird is white or a very light color. It may help to view from different angles or under different lighting conditions.
