This limited edition bird by Oiva Toikka is a celebration of Finland’s 90th year of independence. Toikka chose the dove, a bird symbolic of hope and peace, to represent this important year in Finnish history. In Toikka’s rendition, the white body is flecked with blue and green, giving the bird a distinctively Finnish quality. Its translucent blue beak contrasts beautifully with the opaque body, providing additional interest.
