Designed by Tapio Wirkkala in 1973, iittala Gaissa glassware has distinctively rocky and knobby bases and thin walls that mirror the lucid qualities of ice. Getting its moniker from a fell covered perpetually by snow, Gaissa is organic glassware that powerfully illustrates Wirkalla’s mastery and command of blown glass and the powerful force that the arctic serves as his inspiration.
